In a heartbreaking development, a 36-year-old woman named Eileen Azzopardi died after becoming extremely tired and falling asleep on the sofa. As per reports, Eileen Azzopardi fell sick without warning on Easter Sunday (March 31). Finally, on April 8, 2024, Eileen Azzopardi died. As per UK media reports, Eileen Azzopardi was spending her time with family when she suddenly felt incredibly lethargic. The 36-year-old was the mother of 6 children.
Eileen Azzopardi had become so tired that she struggled to remember the password to her phone and conked out on the couch. When she was admitted into a hospital, Eileen Azzopardi received a blood transfusion but her condition quickly deteriorated and she was placed in an induced coma. During the treatment, the doctors performed an endoscopy and found part of her bowel had died.
As a result, the 36-year-old underwent surgery to reattach it, but doctors at Manchester Royal Infirmary stated that her body had "given up" six hours later. Eileen hailed from Audenshaw, Greater Manchester.
The deceased woman's sister Susan stated that Eileen's daughters, aged 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 18, are having a hard time coming to terms with the loss of their mother. Susan is also raising money for her sister's funeral on GoFundMe. It is still unclear exactly what caused Eileen's death but it is hoped a post-mortem will help provide some answers.
