Former Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Jasjit Singh Banni arrested by Chandigarh Police for brandishing a pistol outside Sector 8 Community Center. CCTV footage led to his identification. The pistol was reportedly empty. Jasjit Singh is the son of former Punjab Minister Captain Kamaljit Singh. He contested elections in 2007 and 2009.
