The Punjab Government has suspended former DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu along with six other police officers due to their involvement in facilitating an unauthorized interview with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. While in custody, Bishnoi’s interview took place at the CIA Police Station, Kharar, leading to an internal investigation and subsequent suspensions.
The suspended officers include:
1. Sammar Vaneet, PPS, DSP
2. Sub Inspector Reena, CIA, Kharar
3. Sub Inspector (LR) Jagatpal Jangu, AGTF
4. Sub Inspector (LR) Shaganjit Singh
5. ASI Mukhtiar Singh
6. HC (LR) Om Parkash
