MHA Confirms Suspension of Ex-Vigilance Chief Surinder Pal Singh Parmar

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has confirmed the suspension of IPS officer Surinder Pal Singh Parmar (PB:1997), who previously served as the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, till June 23, 2025.

As per the official communication addressed to the Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab, the suspension has been approved under Rule 3(1) of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1969, following a letter from the Punjab Government dated May 5, 2025.

The Ministry has advised the State Government to issue a charge-sheet against Shri Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, IPS, by June 23, 2025, and to forward a copy to the Ministry for record.

The order is signed by Sanjeev Kumar, Under Secretary to the Government of India.
