St. Stephen’s School in Sector 45 on Monday morning received a bomb threat leading to a large-scale search operation by the police and according to sources the school reported receiving a message warning of a bomb on its premises following which acting without delay teams from the bomb detection squad, dog unit and senior police officials rushed to the spot and secured the area.
Authorities carried out a thorough search of the entire school premises to ensure the safety of students and staff and after an extensive check officials confirmed that no suspicious object or explosive material was found and the premises were declared safe.
The incident is part of an ongoing series of hoax threats targeting educational institutions raising concerns among authorities and police have been placed on high alert and are maintaining strict vigilance to prevent panic and stop the spread of rumors.
