The man behind the two-volume book Concept of Physics, professor Harish Chandra Verma has been conferred with the Padma Shri award on Monday for his work in the field of Science and Engineering. Popularly known as HC Verma, his career spans 38 years and he taught at the Department of Physics at IIT Kanpur for 22-years. Prof Verma has been a guide for engineering aspirants and science students.
