Bollywood actress and MP Hema Malini on Tuesday slammed the ongoing rumors about her husband Dharmendra's death. Multiple reports quoted Dharmendra's team and hence reported that the actor died at the age of 89. However, Esha Deol took to her Instagram handle and refuted the reports saying that her father is recovering and stable.
Hema Malini took to her X handle and wrote, "What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy."
On October 31, the actor, was kept under strict medical observation by top doctors at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
The exact cause of his illness is unclear; however, according to reports at that time stated that the veteran star visited the hospital for a routine check-up and had been staying there since for additional examinations.
On the professional front, Dharmendra was last seen in the movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya in 2024. The movie starred actors Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The actor is set to star next in the movie 'Ikkis', directed by ace director Sriram Raghavan.
The movie stars Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia. The movie is a war drama based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient.
