The box office is all set to witness a major clash of films in the month of March 2026. Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 and one of biggest movies of 2026- Toxic featuring KGF star Yash will clash at the box office. Both the movies will be released in theaters on March 19, 2026.
While fans are eagerly waiting for Dhurandhar 2 after the success of the current Aditya Dhar-directorial movie, Toxic is also among the most hyped upcoming movies of India in 2023.
Now, the question arises Is Yash starrer Toxic inspired by true events? Below is what we know so far-
According to reports, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is an action thriller that features multiple big actors and actresses. Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups" enjoys a powerful technical team with National Award winner Rajeev Ravi as cinematographer, Ravi Basrur as music composer, Ujwal Kulkarni as editor, and TP Abid as production designer.
The high-octane action sequences in the movie have been choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry along with National Award-winning duo Anbariv & Kecha Khamphakdee.
For the unversed, it was JJ Perry who choreographed action-sequences of Hollywood action-packed movie John Wick. John Wick is among the most-loved action movies of all time globally.
Filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English, the project will also have dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
According to reports, the story is set in 1980s or earlier Goa, where a drug cartel manipulates lives in a web of crime and deception. Currently, the makers have released three posted and the official trailer of the movie is yet to be released. However, it is expected that Toxic will be an original story and not based on real life events.
The movie also features- Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair.
