Samay Raina & Ranveer Allahbadia reunite on Kapil’s show after India’s Got Latent controversy

Comedian Samay Raina and content creator Ranveer Allahbadia are set to appear together in a special episode of the ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ and the episode will release on May 2 on the occasion of World Laughter Day streaming platform Netflix announced on Thursday.

Double dose of laughter

Sharing a teaser on Instagram Netflix said viewers can expect a “double dose of laughter” with both creators appearing together in what it called the “Mastiverse” episode which will stream at 8 PM on the platform.

Promo released

In the teaser video Samay Raina is seen announcing his appearance and teasing the entry of another guest and as he counts down to the reveal Ranveer Allahbadia walks in appearing excited however Samay reacts with mock disappointment saying “No way bro” before walking off the set adding a humorous twist to the promo.

Other big names

The show has earlier featured several big names from entertainment and sports and its third season, which aired from June to September 2025 included guests like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Raghav Chadha, Gautam Gambhir, Rishabh Pant and Akshay Kumar while the fourth season ran from December 2025 to March 2026.

India’s Got Latent controversy

Notably both Samay and Ranveer were recently in the news due to the “India’s Got Latent” controversy as the issue began when Ranveer along with content creators Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija, appeared on Samay’s YouTube comedy show. A remark made by Ranveer during the episode led to strong backlash on social media and multiple FIRs were filed following the controversy Samay removed the show from YouTube while Ranveer later issued a public apology and in March the Supreme Court allowed Ranveer Allahbadia to resume his podcast.
