A brief but emotional scene in Dhurandhar 2 has struck a chord with viewers and much of that attention is now shifting to a fresh face, Hitika Bali. Playing Harleen Rangi the on-screen sister of Ranveer Singh’s character Jaskirat Singh Rangi, Hitika may have had limited screen time but her presence has clearly resonated with audiences.
Hitika Bali is an actor and model who is quickly gaining recognition following her appearance in Dhurandhar 2. She was crowned Miss Himachal in 2023 and is a graduate of Chandigarh University and the university also acknowledged her achievement highlighting her journey from classrooms to cinema as an example of pursuing passion with purpose.
In the film Hitika plays Harleen Rangi one of Jaskirat’s sisters as the opening portions of the story focus on Jaskirat’s family setting the emotional foundation for his transformation into a darker and more intense character later in the narrative with Harleen’s role though brief is central to shaping this emotional arc.
Following the film’s release Hitika shared a note on Instagram reflecting on her experience and reacting to the ongoing discussions around the character’s transformation she wrote that since everyone was talking about “why Jaskirat became Hamza,” she felt she should share her thoughts too. She praised Ranveer Singh for his performance calling him “amazing” as Hamza but added that her personal favourite remained the softer family-oriented version of Jaskirat and also mentioned enjoying the small moments on set including how he kept making her laugh with a “tie-samosa joke” during filming.
