The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially started the application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session.
This update is an opportunity for the aspiring teachers across the country who have been eagerly waiting for the announcement.
Interested and eligible candidates can now apply online through the official CBSE CTET website.
The official notice says the deadline to apply for the CTET Feb 2026 form is December 18, 2025 - so don't wait till then. Get your sign-up done early instead in case of any technical glitches.
As per the notice the CTET Feb 2026 test shall take place on February 8, 2026, at multiple locations throughout India. It runs in two parts - morning session for primary teachers (Grades I to V), while the afternoon one targets upper primary roles (Grades VI to VIII).
To get CTET 2026, one should possess these educational qualifications:
- For Paper I (Primary Stage – Classes I to V):
Candidates need to finish high school - or similar education that is considerable - with at least 50% grades; also, they should either pass or currently be taking the last year of a two-year D.El.Ed diploma. Alternatively, any equivalent qualification listed in the CTET rules is also acceptable.
- For Paper II (Upper Primary Stage – Classes VI to VIII):
Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree - also must’ve taken or are in the last year of a 2-year D.El.Ed or a 1-year B.Ed course that is recognised by NCTE.

4. Upload scanned papers, photos, and the handwritten declaration duly attested.
