In year 2025, the total wealth of India's Top 100 richest people decreased by 9 percent to $1 trillion. However, despite this, Mukesh Ambani remains at the first position.
This information was obtained from Forbes India's Rich List 2025. According to the list, Mukesh Ambani, owner of Reliance Industries, a giant company dealing in businesses ranging from oil to telecom, has a net worth of $105 billion.
The decline was due primarily to a weaker rupee and a 3% drop in the benchmark Sensex since fortunes were last measured.
As per Forbes, nearly two-thirds of those on the list are less well-off this year, including India’s richest person, Mukesh Ambani. His net worth declined by 12% or $14.5 billion, though he remains on top of the list with $105 billion. Ambani, who jumped into Artificial Intelligence by setting up Reliance Intelligence earlier said that he plans to list telecoms unit Jio in 2026.
