Ketan Vishal Agarwal, director of a family run real estate business was a resident of Pune, Maharashtra. He got engaged to Siya Goyal earlier in February and were going to tie knots later this year. During a casual outing to a fort in Maharashtra, Ketan slipped off a 400 feet gorge in the fort. The incident took place on June 18th, Siya’s birthday at the Lohagad Fort. When reported to the police, the case was put aside calling it an accidental death due to a misstep as strong winds were blowing at the fort.
Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal filed a complaint against Siya alleged that she showed no reaction upon seeing Ketan's body, which appeared suspicious. Acting on the complaint, the police started further investigation on the case and major updates were recorded. It was found that Siya was in a relationship with Chetan Chaudhary, 22, a resident of Kondhwa in Pune. According to the information, Chetan was unhappy with Siya’s relationship with Chetan. The police officials arrested fiancé Siya and her lover Chetan as prime suspects of the murder on Tuesday i.e. 23rd June.
After the mishap, Siya shared an Instagram story expressing the grief of her fiancé’s death. In the story she wrote “You left me on my birthday. You left when we were so close to getting married. I still can't understand why you did this to me. I had dreams, questions I'll never get answers to. Why did you leave me when I loved you so much? Rest in peace" along with a video of the couple dancing on a romantic song.
Pune Rural Police finds the murder as a conspiracy of both the lovers and are investigating for prime details. It was claimed by the police that Siya lured Ketan for an outing to the Lohagad fort. Put under the false narrative of a casual outing, Siya later called Chetan and pushed Ketan into the gorge.
According to media reports allegedly it is being said that the family had made extensive arrangements for the wedding and had booked a 17 CR palace at Udaipur. It is also being said that the couple cancelled their pre wedding shoot in Bali, Indonesia earlier this month. Sources believe that this cancellation might be because of the planned murder of Ketan by Siya and her lover.
