Kejriwal, Sisodia write to Delhi HC Chief Justice seeking transfer of excise case

In their letter, the leaders have requested that the matter be moved to an impartial bench and have alleged bias against Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma

AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, along with several others, have written to the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court seeking the transfer of the excise policy case from the bench of Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma. In their letter, the leaders have requested that the matter be moved to an impartial bench and have alleged bias against Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma in the handling of the case.

They have also presented evidence indicating bias against the judge in connection with the excise case. It is also noteworthy that the Supreme Court has overturned all orders passed by Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma in the excise case. The request for transfer has been made to ensure fairness in the proceedings and to protect public confidence in the justice system, the letter stated.
