In the viral video, a woman IPS officer was seen talking over phone to Ajit Pawar. Pawar was heard giving an earful to the woman IPS Officer. The viral video is said to be from Solapur, Maharashtra. Anjana refused to recognize Ajit Pawar on the phone, which heated up the matter.
As per News18, IPS Anjana Krishna's full name is Anjana Krishna V.S. She is a 2023 batch IPS officer and is currently posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Karmala in Solapur district of Maharashtra.
Anjana secured AIR-355 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022-23. Anjana was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and hails from Malayankeeju.
Her family background is simple. Her father Biju is a small cloth merchant and mother Seena works as a typist in the court. Anjana did her early education from St. Mary's Central School Poojappura.
After this, she obtained a degree in BSc Mathematics from HHMSPB NSS College for Women Neeramankara, Thiruvananthapuram.
Anjana, who always stood first in studies, then started preparing for UPSC. She chose Malayalam literature as an optional subject and took the exam in English medium. She secured All India 355th rank in 2022-23 and became an IPS officer.
This whole matter started in Kurdu village of Madha taluka of Solapur, where complaints of illegal Murum mining were being received.
DSP Anjana Krishna reached the spot for action. There she talked to local villagers and NCP worker Baba Jagtap. Jagtap directly dialled Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and handed the call over to Anjana. Ajit Pawar introduced himself as Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on the phone and asked to stop the action but Anjana replied that I do not know you, please call from your official number.
