35 Sikh organizations to hold massive farmers rally outside UN’s office in Rome on Jan 15

The alliance organizations have decided to hold a massive farmers' rally on January 15 in front of the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, which is located in Rome, Italy, and a memorandum will be handed over to the concerned authority, seeking their intervention in the matter.

Condemningthe adamant attitude of the centre government over the farm laws, the Allianceof Sikh Organizations (Group of 35 Sikh Organizations) in a press conferenceheld here today, announced to intensify their protest and take it tointernational level, as the farmers were spending nights on roads in the chillywinter weather but the government is not willing to accept their demands.

Spokespersonof the Alliance of Sikh Organizations, Sukhdev Singh Phagwara said that theefforts are being made by various European organizations to bring this issue tothe attention of the United Nations.

Hesaid the alliance organizations have decided to hold a massive farmers' rallyon January 15 in front of the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organizationof the United Nations, which is located in Rome, Italy, and a memorandum willbe handed over to the concerned authority, seeking their intervention in thematter.

Hesaid the issue of anti-farmer laws and government atrocities on peaceful protestingfarmers would be raised and action would be sought against the Modi-led-BJPgovernment.

Hesaid though only 100 delegates have been allowed to take part in the rallyowing to covid19 pandemic, however, we are sure of the fact that this rallywill be historic and would raise farmer issues on the international level.

Otherspresent on the occasion include, Alliance Coordinator, Parampal Singh Sabhra,Gursahib Singh Ludhiana, Farmer Leaders Pradeep Singh Patti, Rajinder SinghTut, Ramanjit Singh, Prabhjot Singh. Harpreet Singh etc.
