The Police Department transfers 41 IPS and PCS officers. 8 Police officers of Ludhiana reshuffled. In place of Rakesh Agarwal, IPS Naunihal Singh Aulakh will be the new commissioner of Ludhiana. Rakesh Agarwal has been transferred as IGP of Rupnagar Range.
Rakesh Aggarwal was Ludhiana's Commissioner since September 2019.
Gurpreet Singh Bhullar who was the commissioner of Jalandhar is the new DIG of Ludhiana Range. Dr Sukhchain Gill is the new Commissioner of Jalandhar. Whereas, Vikramjeet Singh Duggal is the new Commissioner of Amritsar.

Other transfers that took place in Ludhiana are Joint Commissioner of Police J Elanchezhian has been transferred as DCP (Law and Order), Ludhiana, while Aswani Kapur, the DCP (Law and Order), has been transferred as SSP of Batala. Joint Director of Complaint cell, Vigilance Bureau, Chandigarh Varinder Singh Brar, has been posted as DCP (Investigation) of Ludhiana city. DCP (Investigation) Ludhiana SPS Dhindsa has been transferred as DCP (Detectives and Operations) to Ludhiana.
Gurdial Singh, Zonal SP, CID, has been posted as the Ludhiana rural SSP while Charanjit Singh, has been transferred as SSP of Muktsar Sahib.
