On average a human can have only 32 teeth but the 17-year-old Nitish Kumar recently got 82 teeth removed from his jaw.
For the last five years, he suffered from complexodontoma which is a rare tumor of the jaw. This severity meant that he needs toundergo proper treatment of his jaw but unfortunately was not able to undergo proper treatment for years.
At the age of 17, he was able to get an operation inwhich lasted for 3 hours, and all his 82 teeth were removed, which is 50 teethmore than a common person’s teeth.

Having been unable to get proper treatment, Nitishconsulted doctors at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bihar.Because of the delay in the treatment, his jaw was severely swollen and his facewas distorted due to swelling under both of his ears.
In the search of proper treatment, Nitish consulted themedical facility at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bihar.
The medical doctors of the institute, Dr. Manish Mandal,said “Nitish's condition had worsened over the years due to a lack of propertreatment.”
Thankfully, Dr. Priyankar Singh from the oral unit - alongwith his colleague Dr. Javed Iqbal - were able to successfully finish thecomplex operation.
The procedure means Nitesh is now able to move his mouth efficiently.
The X-rays showed the huge collection of teeth placed atthe bottom of his mouth and doctors undertook a three-hour-long surgery toremove each excess tooth, along with the tumor.
