"AAP again backstabbing & defrauding farmers in name of providing legal help" : CM Amarinder Singh

He tells Delhi CM to stop playing his sneaky games on lives pertaining to lives and future of farmers

Punjab Chief Minister, CaptainAmarinder Singh, on Sunday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of once againbackstabbing and defrauding the agitating Punjab farmers by making hollowclaims of providing legal assistance to them to fight cases against actressKangana Ranaut and certain other BJP leader, including Union Minister RaosahebDanve.

Reacting to media reports that fourof the five petitioners in such cases were active AAP workers, the chiefminister added it’s high time that Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal stopplaying their sneaky games for scoring brownie political points. “Your intentis clear. You are only trying to weaken the farmers’ agitation and playing yoursneaky games at the behest of BJP”, said the chief minister, adding that suchtheatrics on issues concerning the lives and future of the farmers aredeplorable.

CM said, it was “pathetic” that AAPleaders were stooping to such low levels and using their own party workers tofile petitions against BJP leaders and others to bolster their claims ofproviding legal help to farmers. He advised Kejriwal and his associates to stopfollowing Adolf Hitler’s propaganda technique of “Grobe Lüge” – big lies.

The chief minister said after theshameful manner in which AAP government in Delhi implemented the farm laws at atime when the farmers were preparing to march to the national capital, theworld now knows who the real agent of BJP is. The collusion of AAP with BJP isnow a matter of record, he said, adding that this was not a loneincident.

“The Arvind Kejriwal government hasbeen bending backwards to keep its masters in the central government happybecause it is incapable of ruling independently and effectively, as we all sawduring the Covid peaks in Delhi. The way Kejriwal went groveling to the Centrefor help each time clearly exposed his closeness to them. After all, in timesof crisis, you rush to those you are closest to and not to your politicalopponents,” he said.

Referring to the claims of certainAAP leaders about Punjab being member of the Committee on Agricultural Reformsthat drafted the farm laws, the chief minister said the way these leaders havestarted parroting the Akali’s stand, one is forced to draw the conclusion thatthere is a collusion between the two parties - a collusion founded on lies. Hesaid the so-called committee never once discussed the farm laws. “In fact, farfrom it. There was not even a passing mention of such laws being considered”,said the chief minister, asking “is that so difficult for AAP and SAD leadersto understand.”.
