Jalandhar, February 4- The Chairman of Punjab State Board ofTechnical Education and Industrial Training Mohinder Singh Kaypee andSub-Divisional Magistrate-1 Dr Jai Inder Singh on Thursday handed over a chequeof Rs 5 lakh to the family of a farmer who died during an ongoing protestagainst the farm laws at Singhu border.
Farmer Bhupinder Singh of Bolina village had gone to Singhuborder and was taken to a hospital at Panipat after he developed a fever andanother health issue on January 25 and died during the treatment on next day.The cremation was held in the village on January 27.
While handing over the cheque to the family of BhupinderSingh, the Chairman of Punjab State Board of Technical Education and IndustrialTraining Mohinder Singh Kaypee expressed deep sympathy with the family and saidthat the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had announced a financial aid ofRs 5 lakh to the family of each farmer who had unfortunately lost their livesduring the protest against the centre's farm laws.
He said that Punjab Government stands rock solid with thefarmer's family and assured all kind of support to them.
He said that Bhupinder Singh had lost their lives for therights of the farmers and union government must consider their demands ofrepealing three laws immediately.
