In a recent interview, Ankita Lokhande has finally spoken out about how her life was impacted after her break-up with Sushant. She also spoke about how her breakup made her stronger.
When news of Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden death broke last year, Ankita Lokhande, like any other fan, acquaintance, and family member, was shocked. On June 14, 2021, the Chhichhore actor was discovered dead in his flat, prompting an investigation into his murder. Ankita and Sushant had been together for a long time. They had, however, parted ways in 2016. The two had previously worked together in the famous serial Pavitra Rishta and had a long friendship. Ankita pursued justice and campaigned for him after his death. However, several people were insulted, and she faced criticism from trolls on social media.
Now, in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Manikarnika actress has finally spoken out about her breakup with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She also mentioned in the conversation that she wanted to ‘end' her life after the break-up. Ankita explained that she wanted to stay quiet at the time because she didn't want to create a stir in her relationship. She also expressed her displeasure with being trolled about her break-up, but she refused to blame Sushant. She said she dealt with a lot of things since her breakup with the late star.
Ankita went on to say more about the subject.She said" “Aaj log mujhko aakar bol rahe hai, ‘Tumne chhoda Sushant ko".How did you figure that out? Nobody knows what I'm up to. Sushant, Sushant... I'm not pointing the finger at anybody... I believe he was really clear about his decision. He desired to continue his work. He made his decision and went on. But I was grappling with so many things for two and a half years.”
Ankita clarified that moving on in life was painful for her, but her family supported her.“My life was finished. I was just finished,” she added. She even admitted to having traumatic experiences after her break-up, but she explained that Sushant was free to go his own way, and she granted him complete autonomy. She did, however, remember the difficult period after her breakup with Sushant.
Ankita paid special tribute to Sushant last year through social media posts and a stellar performance at the Zee Rishtey Awards. The Central Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating Sushant's murder.
