MadampuKunjukuttan, who won the National Award for the 'Best Scriptwriter' for thefilm Karunam, died today on May 11, while undergoing treatment for COVID-19. He took his last breathat a private hospital in Thrissur on Tuesday. He was 81 years old. As perreports, after Madampu Kunjukuttan tested positive for COVID-19, he was taken tothe medical clinic for treatment. He was experiencing a high fever andbreathing inconvenience on Sunday night.
Talkingabout the past, Kunjukuttan had participated in the Assembly elections in 2001from Kodungallur on a BJP ticket, however, he didn't win. He was brought intothe world in Kiralur town of Thrissur District and has worked there as aneducator for Sanskrit at Kodungalloor. He was hitched to the late SavithriAntharjanam and they gave birth to two beautiful girls, Jaseena Madampu andHaseena Madampu.
