President elect Joe Biden's choice for top intelligencejob in America is Avril Haines.
US is expected to be hard on China as Haines on Tuesdaysaid, the US should take an aggressive stance towards the threat posed byaggressive and assertive China according to a report published in Reuters.
Haines is Biden's nominee for Director of National Intelligence(DNI). The former CIA Deputy Director said, her priority is to restore thetrust of people and within the intelligence system of US.
She has reportedly said to devote more resources toChina. Haines said, "Our approach to China has to evolve and essentiallymeet the reality of the particularly assertive and aggressive China that we seetoday."
Haines added that she supported an aggressive stance todeal with the challenge that they are facing. On the recent solar wind attacks,she said that Biden had indicted to inflict costs on the solar wind attackers.
Haines charted out a contrast to the Trump administrationthat politicized the intelligence agencies while speaking to the SenateIntelligence committee.
Haines also said that DNI must speak truth and it shouldnot be politicized.
