India's roast king CarryMinati aka Ajey Nagar is one of the most talked-about YouTubers. Carry's success on YouTube earned him lots of praise and in fact, he also bagged an acting opportunity with Ajay Devgn’s Mayday which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. Carry is famous for his roast videos.
Recently, Carry talked to Kareena Kapoor Khan on her show ‘What Women Want’ and spoke on the accusations of being called an 'online bully'.
Kareena welcomed Carry and asked if he would have ever thought that he would have 27.5 million subscribers? Carry answered and said, "Even I am asking the same question from myself that why me? Why am I getting all these? Honestly I don't have an actual idea. When I was in class 10th I just had thought that till Class 12 I will achieve 50 thousand subscribers, then only I will continue YouTube."
When Kareena asked how his content from starting to now has evolved, Carry said, "I have evolved like a pokemon, from Pikachu I transformed into Raichu, I am at my Raichu stage."
On being asked about people accusing Carry of being an online bully due to his roasting videos, Carry replied, "First of all, whenever I roast someone, I take their permission. The person should know that I am making a video on him. If that person is familiar with my content, they have an idea of what to expect, and obviously, if they are not, they can always check out my channel. Until I get permission, I do not make a video."
"Secondly, from what I have seen, people’s reactions are mostly positive. Even if they troll the person, he is still getting fame and the audience to showcase his content. I would say they definitely get a boost. And the tone of my videos is friends sitting together and making fun of each other. I never make it intense," added Carry.
