Chahatt Khanna recently posted on Facebook that she is jobless now and her status as a single mother could not be used against her. Farhan Mirza, the actor's estranged husband, is mired in a bitter divorce fight.
Chahatt Khanna is the mother of two daughters, Zohar and Amaira, and has been in the apparel business for a while. In 2018, five years after their marriage, she filed for divorce, accusing him of sexual and mental abuse.
Earlier this year, Chahatt spoke about the topic in an interview. She also stated that she feels compelled to share it on social media. “I was also considering posting on social media that I'm back in the acting game and looking for work. People now believe she is wealthy and does not need work. They may believe she is busy with her children. So, there's this perception that people have of me that isn't exact.”
She also mentioned how important it was for her to spend quality time with her children during their early years. She did, however, add that she now has time to act.
She said, “I was devoting a great deal of time to my children and my company, and the first two or three years are crucial. I wanted to dedicate that time to my brand, and I didn't have much time to act. But now that I've in the third year of my brand and my children have begun school, I have plenty of time to resume acting.”
Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, and Qubool Hai has all featured Chahatt. She was most recently seen in Mika Singh's Quarantine Love music video.
