Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Review: Vaani Kapoor in a significant role; Ayushmann ‘A complete entertainer’

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is a romantic drama film directed by Abhishek Kapoor.

In the film, Ayushmann plays the role ofbodybuilder Manu Munjal who falls in love with a super hot Zumba teacher MaanviBrar played by Vaani Kapoor. Everything was going well until a shockingrevelation causes turmoil in their love story.

Boy meets girl, falls in love, sparks fly,mush-gush, but, something is there which was unexpected. They were like a matchmade in heaven but there’s a hitch. His lady love turns out to be a ‘Transgirl’. Manu is left in a state of deep confusion.

The movie Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui deals withthe topic of the LGBTQ community. Vaani Kapoor can be seen in a significantrole. Abhishek Kapoor has graciously highlighted this issue. Ayushmann, fromdonating sperms in Vicky Donor, going impotent in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan orgoing bald in Bala, or wearing a saree in Dream Girl, has portrayed amazingroles on the silver screen.

The film is emotional yet cheerful. It keepsaudiences glued to their screen. Vaani and Ayushmann’s chemistry is a greatdeal to watch in the movie.

Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma (as Manu’s twinfriends), Tanya Abrol and Sawan Rupowali (as Manu's sisters), Aanjjan Srivastav(Manu’s grandfather) and Girish Dhamija (Manu's father), Kanwaljit Singh(Maanvi's father) lend strong support to the story.

The film has some five to six songs. WhileTumbe Te Zumba and Kheench Te Nach are your peppy party numbers, Maafi that hasbeen sung by Ayushmann is heartbreaking.
