Chief Minister of Puducherry V Narayansamy will resignafter the government failed to prove its majority. The number of Congress MLAsdropped to 14 after 2 MLAs' exit on Sunday.
The majority mark remains intact with 14 while thecongress could not save its majority, the CM had claimed he had majority.
CM accused former Lieutenant Governor of colluding withthe opposition to topple his government. He accused Bedi also denied benefitsto state by central government.
Congress's K Lakshminarayanan and its partner DMK's KVenkatesan resigned on Sunday. Lakshminarayanan said he was upset for notgetting recognition in the party. He was a four time Congress MLA.
As per sources mentioned by ndtv.com, the Congress hadearlier thought of insisting the speaker to not allow the three nominated MLAs-all BJP members to vote.
Tamilisai Soundararajan, LG called CM on Thursday to takefloor test. The crisis deepened in Congress after two MLAs exit in January andother two on Sunday.
The Chief Minister also accused BJP of trying to topplehis government under its alleged "Operation Kamala."
