According to the Union health ministry data on Friday, India’s covid-19 tally breached the 9 million mark. The country reported 45,522 new Covid cases and 584 deaths in the last 24 hours. The country’s death toll increased to 132,162.
The health ministry said India recorded 44,807 new recoveries between Thursday and Friday morning as the number of active cases were at 443,794. On Friday, the recovery rate increased to 93.60% and total recovered cases stood at 8,428,409.

# Arunachal Pradesh Covid recoveries exceeded fresh cases for the sixth consecutive day with 85 more patients being cured of the infection. With 31 new cases, the state’s tally reached 15,976. A total of 14,800 patients have been discharged taking the recovery rate to 92.63 per cent.

# On Thursday, Tripura reported 105 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the state's tally to 32,217. Presently, there are 1,000 active cases in the state.
# With 894 fresh cases, Telangana’s Covid-19 tally crossed 2.61 lakh while four fatalities took the death toll to 1,423. As many as 12,515 patients are under treatment and 39,448 samples were tested on November 19. The recovery rate in Telangana was 94.67 per cent.
# Jharkhand's coronavirus caseload increased to 1,06,972 on Friday after 230 more people tested positive for the infection. With three fatalities, the coronavirus death toll in the state rose to 937. There are 2,600 active covid cases in the state, while 1,03,435 people have been cured of the disease so far.
# With 175 new cases, Assam’s covid tally rose to 2,11,040, while 267 patients recovered from the infection pushing the total number of recoveries to 2,06,875. The recovery rate in the state is 98.02 per cent. The state now has 3,193 active cases. The number of total fatalities remained unchanged at 969 as it reported no COVID-19 deaths yesterday after 14 days.
# On Thursday Meghalaya recorded 109 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 10,979. The death toll increased to 104 after one more patient succumbed to the disease. Since Wednesday, 60 patients have recovered from the disease, increasing the number of recoveries to 10,074.
# According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 12,95,91,786 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to November 19 with 10,83,397 samples being tested on Thursday.
