Delhi Police announces 1 Lakh cash for arrest of Deep Sidhu, others in Red Fort unrest case

Delhi police has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 Lakh eachfor information leading to the arrest of Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singhand Gurjant Singh in their alleged involvement for inciting unrest on Republicday. However, still the sequence of events is obscure because these areallegations against Deep Sidhu's involvement in 'inciting the protesters'.

Similarly, the Delhi Police have announced reward of Rs 50,000each for the arrest of Jajbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh, and Iqbal Singhfor their alleged involvement in the the January 26 unrest.

Farmers protesting against the three contentious laws carriedout a tractor parade to mark their protest on January 26 but the protestingfarmers enter Red Fort and hoisted two flags: Nishan Sahib (a Sikh religiousflag) and farmers' union flag. Later on the protest as per police turnedviolent and many policemen got injured in a clash with farmers.

After the tractor parade, the Delhi Police have detainedmany protesters, according to the protesting farmers and their leaders. TheDelhi High Court has yesterday dismissed a petition seeking release of 'Illegaldetained' people by the police. Moreover, the government of Punjab has started ahelpline number, 112, for getting details and hear grievances of the people.

Similarly, the government of Punjab had sent its leadersto meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to seek information about missingprotesters after the Delhi unrest on January 26.
