Public parks, gardens, golf clubs and outdoor yoga activities will also be allowed. Meanwhile, market complexes and malls are also permitted to function from 10 am to 8 pm.
These relaxations are permitted at a time when medical experts have warned the government about an inevitable third wave. Earlier, AIIMS chief Dr. Randeep Guleria told that “The thirdwave of coronavirus is inevitable and it could hit the country in the next six to eight weeks."
“As we have started unlocking process, once again we are witnessing lack of covid-appropriate behavior. It seems like we have learned nothing from what happened between the first andsecond waves. Again the crowds are building up and people are gathering in markets and public places. It will take just a little time for the number of cases to rise again at the national level. The third wave is inevitableand it could hit India within the next six to eight weeks maybe longer,” said Dr. Guleria.
Meanwhile, today India reported 58,419 fresh coronavirus cases, which is the lowest in over 81 days. The daily recoveries are outnumbering the fresh covid cases as 87,619 patients have recoveredin the last 24 hours.
