Digvijay Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia exchange in parliament post Scindia joins BJP on Farmers protest

Scindia now targeted Congress party over their alleged double standards regarding the farm laws recently enacted by the union government.

Jyotiraditya Scindia after changing the parties hasspoken for the first time in Parliament against his former Congress party.Scindya remained in Congress for 19 years before switching over to BhartiyaJanta Party (BJP).

Scindia now targeted Congress party over their alleged doublestandards regarding the farm laws recently enacted by the union government. TheCongress and other opposition parties supported farmers agitating against thefarm laws around borders in Delhi and they seek the repeal of laws.

Scindia said, "In the 2019 election manifesto, theCongress had promised reforms for farmers. In 2010-11, our Agriculture MinisterSharad Pawar had written to all Chief Ministers and said that private sectorparticipation was necessary in agriculture and for that, amendments were neededin the APMC (Agricultural Produce Market Committee) Act enacted by stategovernments."

While responding to Scindia, Digvijay Singh said, "Scindia-ji, I congratulate you. The way youearlier used to present the UPA's point of view earlier in the house, today youhave done an excellent job of expressing the BJP's view. Wah Maharaj-jiwah!"
