The Election Commission (EC) has been making various efforts to increase the voter turnout in Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In light of this, Delhi Chief Election Officer (CEO) has announced free bike services with Rapido on the polling day in Delhi, i.e. May 25.
People who cast their vote on May 25 can book a free bike ride on the day of polling. As per reports, there had been a decline in voter turnout in the first two phases of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Keeping this in mind, the EC is looking for other methods to persuade the citizens to practice their democratic right.
Delhi Chief Electoral Officer P Krishnamurthy announced a strategic partnership with Rapido and according to the arrangement, eligible voters in Delhi will be provided with an option to avail free ride from the polling booths to their homes on voting day.
