TrueScoop got in touch with ADC Amit Sareen who has alsobeen the head of Jan Lokpal Andolan at Amritsar and was the corruptioncrusader. We spoke to him regarding the same and here is what he has to sayabout this incident.
Major Amit Sareen said that what Sheetal Angural didyesterday was uncalled for and should be considered a cheap publicity stunt.The major reason behind doing this was that DC transferred two tainted registryClerks and other clerks to other posts that annoyed local MLAs. Furthermore, hesensed that the selected transferred people might be also providing them moneyto get their work done.
He also revealed during the conversation that when herescued a 15-day-old girl from getting sold, Sheetal Angural requested him togive the girl to the accused woman even after knowing that she was not her realmother.
He also told that he was not happy with how the wholeincident was covered. Instead of calling the media and making it a politicalstunt, the MLA could have followed a proper procedure to speak to the ADC inthis regard. “It shows how childish he is when it comes to tackling problems,”said the ADC.
“Basically, they want that all the people should workaccording to them and not according to the rules and regulations. They areusing officers to get their work done whether it is correct or not,” addedMajor Sareen.
He also shared that he lost his temper because a person whois doing the job diligently is accused of false allegations. According to him,it’s not democracy, it should be considered ‘Snubocracy.’ He said that it might be a great strategy forthe MLA to scare everyone and snub their voices but he will not stop workingagainst the wrong.
