Farmer's Protest: Bhupinder Singh Mann refuses to be a part of committee, cites prevailing sentiments

Mann said, "I am ready to sacrifice any position offered and given to me so as to me as to not compromise the interests of Punjab and the farmers of the country.

Bhupinder Singh Mann, former Member of Parliament and NationalPresident of BKU and Chairman of All India Kisan Coordination Committee hasrecused himself from the 4 member committee constituted by the Supreme Court.

In a press release to the media, he said, "As afarmer myself and a union leader, in view of the prevailing sentiments andapprehensions amongst the farm unions and the public in general, I am ready tosacrifice any position offered and given to me so as to me as to not compromisethe interests of Punjab and the farmers of the country."

Mann added, "I am recusing myself from the committeeand I will always stand with my farmers and Punjab."
