In a major setback, Former Jalandhar Mayor Jagdish Raja on Saturday lost the Municipal Corporation Elections 2024. Jagdish Raja joined the AAP along with his wife Anita days before the Jalandhar MC Elections. Jagdish Raja was fielded from Ward Number 64, while his wife Anita was fielded from Ward Number 65.
BJP candidate Rajeev Kumar Dhingra sealed the victory from Ward Number 64. Voting for the Municipal Corporation elections in Jalandhar ended at 4 pm. A total of 670 polling stations were set up by the district administration. Till 3 pm polling percentage in Jalandhar was 42.56 percent
