Harish Rawat reiterates crisis in Punjab over, big announcement likely tomorrow

Notably, amid the ongoing feud in the Punjab unit of the Congress, well-known election strategist Prashant Kishor also met former party president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday.

A meetingbetween Congress General Secretary Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat and RahulGandhi, which was scheduled for today, has been postponed for Thursday as RahulGandhi got stuck somewhere, informing this Harish Rawat said there was a meetingof the parliamentary strategic group also and the same has also been postponedfor tomorrow.   

HarishRawat, Congress General Secretary and Punjab In-charge was supposed to meetRahul Gandhi today at Delhi to discuss issues related to the party's Punjabunit. It may be recalled that Rawat had also met Rahul Gandhi yesterday andclaimed that crisis in the Punjab Congress would be over very soon and newPresident of the party would also been announced shortly. He had said thatCaptain Amrinder Singh would be Chief Minister face of the party in the nextassembly elections besides he also indicate a possible rejig in the minister’sportfolio under the new peace formula reportedly cleared by the party HighCommand.

Notably,amid the ongoing feud in the Punjab unit of the Congress, well-known electionstrategist Prashant Kishor also met former party president Sonia Gandhi onTuesday. However, senior party leader Harish Rawat said that the issue ofPunjab Congress was not discussed during the meeting. Sources said thatCongress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and party organization generalsecretary KC Venugopal were also present during the meeting between RahulGandhi and Prashant Kishor.

Whilecommenting on the AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal’s statement expressingthat he felt "encouraged" as even opposition leaders are talkingabout his party, Harish Rawat said

Kejriwalhas been trying taking credit out of everything.

Meanwhile,Harish Rawat once again reiterated his claim that the crisis in the PunjabCongress is over and formal announcement is likely to announce in a day or two.
