The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) has officially launched Round 2 of its pilot phase, offering over 1 Lakh internship opportunities in 730+ districts in India. Announced by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), this scheme is designed for youth aged 21 to 24 who are not currently enrolled in full-time education or employment opportunities, helping young individuals kick-start their careers.
The first round of PMIS witnessed an overwhelming response with over six lakh applications. The second phase expensed on this success by offering internships in more than 300 top companies across the industry such as Oil & Gas, Banking, automotive, travel & hospitable, FMCG, manufacturing, and metal & mining.
Professional experience: minimum of six months of industry-specific training and holds-on work experience

Apply for internship
Each applicant can apply to up to three internships in Round 2.
Submit the required documents, including educational certificates, ID proof, and resume/ CV.

Monitor your application status through the PMIS portal.
Prepare for interviews (if shortlisted) by reviewing industry-specific questions.
To raise awareness and encourage participation, the government is conducting over 70 information, education, and communication (IEC) events in several colleges and universities. alongside campaigns are programmed for ITIs (Industry Training Institutes). The Rozgar Melas (Employment Fairs) are also set up.
Additionally, national-level digital campaigns are running across social media platforms and through influencers to target youth populations in high-opportunity districts.
