Immovable property of a TADA fugitive worth Rs 2.15 crore attached by Patiala Police

Was booked 33 yrs ago under section 3/4 TADA Act, 8 crore worth properties attached during last three weeks

Acting strictly against the fugitives and proclaimed offenders,District Police Patiala has set a benchmark by getting attached the immovableproperties worth about Rs. 8 crores (Rs. 7 crore 99 lakh 34 thousand to beprecise) of as many as 16 POs since 21st January this year.

Divulging the details about the recent attachment of theimmovable property of a terrorist, SSP Patiala, Vikram Jeet Duggal said about33 years ago, a case was booked at PS Ghanour against the escapee, Baldev Singhs/o Mukhtiar Singh R/o Dandoa, for his terror related activities u/s 3/4 Terroristand Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act, dated 02.01.1988.

Efforts made by the Ghanour Police brought fruitful resultsin the form of getting him declared as a PO and an application was filed beforethe hon’ble court of Additional District and Session Judge, Smt Priya Sood toattach his immovable property i.e. 56 Kanal 01 Marla (Approximately 7 Acres) atVillage  Dandoa, which is worth around Rs2.15 crore.

The hon’ble court has attached this property as per theproceedings u/s 83 of the CrPC.

SSP said efforts are on to trace the fugitives in regard tovarious categories of offences and their properties are being identified forattachment in case they don’t surrender.
