With Russia invading Ukraine, many Indian students are stuck there and pleading for help. Some students have not left their apartments, while others have moved to underground metro rail stations that could serve as bomb shelters.
Nearly 20,000 Indians are in Ukraine and most of them are students. Many videos are circulating on social media in which various students can be seen requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make swift arrangements to evacuate Indians.
Ankit Sharma of Faridabad, Haryana, Saksham of UP told that all Indian students spent the night at the metro station. The bombing stopped at 12 pm. Only after that, he could sleep. We came back to our flat at 8 in the morning. All night SMS warning of Indian contract attack kept coming. While hostel students of VN Karazin Kharkiv National University also slept in bunkers.
