Thedecision of the Israel government which lifted the requirement to wear masksoutside and fully reopened its education system has not gone down well with thenetizens. The social media users term the decision an impulsive one and saidthat it’s too early to remove such restrictions keeping in view the second waveof Covid19 globally.

However,the facial coverings are still required indoors, in areas where one comes intocontacts with non-household members.

Thatsaid, experts also think that rule might be lifted in a month thanks to sharplyreduced case counts in the country. Sunday also saw most schools completelyopen for the first time in a year, with students arranged in full classes,instead of in small groups. However, masks are still required in classrooms.

Israelgovernment said that thanks to a brisk vaccination campaign, the number of newreported cases has dropped. The number of people currently seriously sick dueto Covid-19 stands at around 200.

"Themasks are intended to protect us from the coronavirus. After professionalsdecided this was no longer required in open spaces, I decided to enable takingthem off," Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said in the statement.

Atthe end of January, the figure was around 1,200. About 5.3 million of thecountry's 9 million residents have received at least one dose of thePfizer/BioNTech vaccine. Nearly 5 million have received the full doses of twojabs.

However,the vaccination campaign has also stagnated, with about 1 million Israelis whoare older than 16 still unvaccinated.

Expertshave warned that the country has still not achieved herd immunity.

Asof Sunday, Israel has reported a total of 836,882 coronavirus cases and 6,331deaths.

Lookingat the experts views, the netizens trolled the Israel citizens and said theymust not believe in rumours as covid19 second wave has badly hit many countrieswhich lifted restrictions without a strategy.
