Jalandhar DC urges departments and elected representatives to work in tandem for 100% registration of beneficiaries under AB-SSBY

District covers 70 percent of beneficiaries, rest to be enrolled till March 15

TheDeputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that all the government departmentsand elected representatives have to make concerted efforts to ensure 100percent registration of the beneficiaries under AB-SSBY.

Presidingover a meeting, Deputy Commissioner said the district has already covered 70 percentbeneficiaries under the scheme and rest 30 percent would be enrolled by March15 for which we have to make serious efforts to achieve the target. He appealedthe Municipal Councillors, sarpanchs, and members of block samitis and zilaparishad to sensitize the people of their localities.

Hesaid that apart from Common Service Centres, health institutions and sewakendras, the district administration has been organizing camps for makinge-health cards under the scheme.

Hesaid that 13 government and 60 private hospitals have been empanelled under thescheme and list can also be checked www.sha.punjab.gov.in .

DeputyCommissioner said that smart ration card holders, construction workers, SECCbeneficiaries, small traders and J-form holders are eligible under the schemeand eligibility can also checked on www.sha.punjab.gov.in .

Heappealed all eligible beneficiaries to get registered themselves and they canalso contact 0181-2224417 for any kind of information.

DeputyCommissioner also reviewed the smart village campaign and asked BDPOs tocomplete all the works within stipulated timeline.  He asked DDLG to personally supervision theimplementation of the projects.

Healso took stock of the Covid vaccination drive and appealed people to followall Covid protocols to keep the pandemic at bay.
