Jalandhar’s Deputy Mayor, Harsimranjit Singh Bunty has resigned from the Congress party and has joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
Along with his resignation, 5 councilors including Rohan Sehgal have also left the party.
These resignations have come as a huge shock for the Congress Party. Due to this, the Congress Party might face troubles during the Municipal Elections.
This resignation comes after almost a month when the state party chief Amarinder Singh Warring suspended him for ‘anti-party activities.’
To which the Mayor replied that some party leaders were provoking Warring against him.
