Legendary Indian athleteMilkha Singh took his last breath on Friday night at PGIMER Chandigarh afterstruggling to recover from the contagious Covid-19 infection.
He died after five daysof his wife’s (Nirmal Kaur) demise at the age of 91 due to Covid-19complications.
Earlier on Friday, thehealth condition of Covid-hit former Indian sprinter Milkha Singh deterioratedwith fever and de-saturation and he was rushed to the PGIMER for the medicalassistance.
"His condition has deteriorated with oxygen levelsslipping," said a doctor of the hospital.
