The fourth episode of Marvel's Loki is now out, and it adds to the mystery of the Time Variance Authority. The powerful Time Keepers aren't who they appear, and Loki and Sylvie are going to look like the good guys. Also, the post-credits scene in this one is not to be missed.
Here is a review of Loki Episode 4 (SPOILERS AHEAD)
This week's episode of Loki began with a flashback of a young Sylvie in Asgard, playing with her toys. Ravonna appears out of nowhere and takes her to the TVA for tampering with the sacred timeline. Sylvie uses Ravonna's TemPad to get away as she is about to be presented in front of a judge.
We return to Lamentis soon after this flashback, when we last saw Loki and Sylvie trying to board the ark, and she tells us about her troubled childhood. They have embraced death on this inescapable planet, and Sylvie tells Loki that her existence was a deviation from the sacred timeline, which is why she was taken as a child by the TVA.
She was in danger of being found wherever she went until she found that the little pockets of apocalypses would cover her tracks, and that's where she grew up.
It creates a nexus event when the two hold hands and talk about their lives. TVA traces them down and brings them to TVA's headquarters.
When Ravonna confronts him, he admits that he is aware of the truth, and she prunes him almost immediately. She also orders B-15 to be pruned. Owen Wilson's Mobius seems to have died.
Loki wakes up in the post-credits scene, wonders aloud if he is still dead. He's woken in a post-apocalyptic New York City, where he encounters other Loki variants. Richard E. Grant (as an older Loki), Jack Veal (as a younger Loki), and Deobia Oparei play these variants (playing a Loki with Mjolnir). Loki, the alligator, is also here.
Loki is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
