In his age category, he was named one of the top eight competitive swimmers in Telangana State Swimming. Namrata is excited about Gautam's professional swimming start in 2018.

Namrata Shirodkar, who often uploads photos of her children on Instagram, recently shared the good news of her son's newest achievement. Gautam made it into the top eight competitive swimmers in Telangana State Swimming, she adds in the post. She also discusses how he organically adapted to the sport while loving the hard effort that goes into developing the techniques.
