With symbolic release of five mini bus permitsto unemployed youths, MLA Sushil Rinku and Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thoritoday kick-started distribution of 190 mini bus permits to youths in a virtuallaunch event chaired by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
Divulging the details, MLA Sushil Rinku andDeputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the scheme aimed at providingample job opportunities to unemployed youths under the ambitious Ghar-GharRojgar and Karobar Mission besides strengthening the road connectivity of therural areas with the city.
They said that 190 applicants from the Jalandhar andKapurthala districts were selected for the mini bus permits adding permit grantletters to five youths of Jalandhar District have been issued in today’s event.
They further added that home delivery ofDriving Licenses (DLs) and vehicle registration certificates (RCs) throughpostal system has also been launched by the Chief Minister Captain AmarinderSingh, which would help more than 20000 applicants across district to receivetheir DLs and RCs at their home.
He said that 10000 applicants of driving licenseand equal number of applicants of vehicle registration certificates wouldreceive their documents from the transport department at their home and nowthey need not to visit any government office collect these dpcuments.
They saidthat the new delivery system would transform the overall scenario of publicservice in the transport department adding it would further infuse a sense oftransparency and accountability in the system.
Thanking Captain Government for thisinitiative, Dakoha resident Kamna said that she had applied for the mini buspermit under the Ghar-Ghar Rojgar and Karobar Mission and now she is gettingthe permit grant letter for Musapur to Jalandhar city bus strand route. Shementioned that it was like a dream coming true as she would be able to run herown small business enterprise.
Another beneficiary Jarnial Singh, a residentof Mohyal Nagar while hailing the Punjab government’s decision to open mini buspermits for unemployed youths, said that he had never thought of getting a buspermit on his name. Jarnail Singh further lauded the transparent process toissue the bus permits as all the applicants have got the permits on the meritbasis.
Today bus permit grant letters have been issuedto a Dakoha resident Kamna, who has received permit for the Musapur toJalandhar bus stand route via Ucha, Mohadipur, Isherwal, Mauli, Nangal, FatehKhan, Badiana, Jaitewali, Patra, Bolina, Johalan, and Rama Mandi. Similarly,Ramit Sharma of Master Tara Singh Nagar has received bus permit for RehanaJattan to Jalandhar via Domeli, Mussapur, Ucha, Bahani, Kotli Tahlan, Dhilwan,and Chugitti. Third beneficiary Sarita a resident of Central town has got thepermit for Jamsher Khas to Jalandhar bus stand route via village saprai,Chananpur, Jagral, Shahpur, CT Institure, CT World School Kadianwali, Mithapur,Punjabi Bagh, Urban Estate, Wadala Chowk, Boota Mandi, Guru Ravi Dass Chowk,Nakodar Chowk, Guru Nanak Mission chowk. Jarnial Singh of Mohyal Nagar hasreceived permit grant letter for Jalandhar to Lutera Khurd route via RamaMandi, Johal Bolina, Jaitewali, Patara, Nangal, Fateh Khan, Nauli, Isherwal,Jethpur, Kotli Jamit Singh, and Harnek Singh of village Dhanowali has receivedpermit for Jalandhar to Bulle route via Railway station, Pathankot Chowk,Ballan, Naugajja, Dogri, Mustapur, and Shivdasspur.
