MLA Pargat Singh hands over 100 sports kits at Jamsher Football Ground

Commends YFC Rurka Kalan fort its extraordinary efforts to boost sports in region

With an aim to further boosting sports among youngsters andencourage them to excel different sports, MLA Pargat Singh today distributedsports kits to 100 budding Football players at Jamsher Football ground, whereyoung players are being trained by the Youth Fotball Club (YFC), Rurkan Kalan.

Divulging details, MLA Pargat Singh accompanied by YFC headGurmangal Dass said that as many as 100 sports kits worth Rs. Two lakhcomprising track suits, footballs, shoes, and other inventories weredistributed at Jamsher Football ground. He reiterated that Chief MinisterCaptain Amarinder Singh led state government was committed to giving sports activitiesa major push in the region and there was no paucity of funds to promote sportsin the state.

Interacting with the budding players, MLA Pargat Singh said thatgovernment was providing the kits to clubs and youths to motivate them towardssports. He added that sports help the youths to develop a team spirit whichcould help them to excel in their lives besides building a healthy society.

The MLA called upon youths to channelize their energy towards thesports and scale new heights in their career. The MLA further pointed out thatthe need of the hour was to popularize sports culture amongst the children aswell as the youths. Lauding the players, he said that they should ensure hardwork in their respective games to achieve new success at national andinternational level vis-a-vis bringing laurels for state and country too.

Lauding the stupendous efforts being made by the Youth FootbaalClub Rurka Kalan to infuse the spirit of sports amongst budding players, theMLA said giving a fillip to sports activities was a call of the day in presenttimes. He said that the activities of YFC to further strengthen sportsactivities were really commendable.

MLA Pargat Singh added that this same spirit should be replicatedfor constructing a progressive and harmonious society. He asked the buddingplayers to lay due focus on study along with the Sports for comprehensivedevelopment of their personality. He said that more sports kits would bedistributed among budding players to help them practice smoothly.  

Prominent among others present onthe occasion included village Jamsher Sarpanch Bitu Shah, village kheraSarpanch Ram Kishan, Kamma Maan, Lehmber Singh, Kimti, and Harpreet Pita.
