Inthe wake of fresh upsurge in Covid-19 cases, the district administration is allset to start a special vaccination drive with its launch from Bus Stand andIndustrial Area from Saturday.
DeputyCommissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Friday directed health officials to launchmobile vaccination campaign in different areas of the cityfor the facilitation of general public.
Divulgingthe details, the deputy Commissioner said the mobile van would go intodifferent localities for on the spot vaccination camps to provide inoculationfacilities at doorsteps. On the very first day of the drive, the van wouldcover Bus Stand and Industrial area, where beneficiaries would get the jab ofCovid vaccine, he added.
TheDeputy Commissioner said under the ‘mobile vaccination’ initiative, thebeneficiaries need not to book slot in advance as these facilities would beprovided during the mobile camp. He said now health teams will visit particulararea/factory/village/residential society or private establishments, where theeligible beneficiaries would be inoculated.
Urgingthe people to shun hesitance to get vaccine shot, the deputy commissioner saidthat vaccination was necessitated amid current COVID situation so all theeligible beneficiaries should come forward for vaccination. He said that itwould not only boost the immunity in beneficiaries but also infuse a sense ofconfidence among them.
