AMumbai court on Wednesday sent Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli, arrested in adrugs case, to 14-day judicial remand at the end of his NCB custody. Kohli,soon after being remanded to judicial custody, moved a bail plea before thecourt.
Theagency conducted raids at five places in Mumbai and Nallasopara based on thelead it extracted following the arrest of actor Armaan Kohli.
Theactor was arrested on August 28 after being questioned by the Narcotics ControlBureau (NCB) following recovery of drug from his house in suburban Juhu.AnNCB official has said that they will also investigate Kohli's banktransactions. He was produced before the court at the end of his NCB custody onWednesday.
Thecourt sent the 49-year-old actor to jail under judicial custody as no furtherremand was sought by the apex drug law enforcement agency. Earlier, the NCB hadtold the court it had seized more than one gram of cocaine from the actor'shouse during a raid.
Thecentral agency had told the court that there was evidence to suggest Kohli,booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, wasassociated with an international drug syndicate.An alleged drug peddler, AjayRaju Singh, who was arrested by the NCB along with the actor and booked underthe NDPS Act, too, was sent to 14-day judicial custody by the court.

Afterthe arrest of drug peddler Ajay Raju Singh alias Mamu, 50, and actor ArmaanKohli, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) came to know that Singh had linkswith the International Drug Syndicate and Prostitution Racket. The drug policehave also recovered some WhatsApp chats between the two related to the purchaseof drugs. Chats recovered from Singh's phone revealed that he was in contactwith people from Colombia and Peru, from where his supplies came.
Kohlihas featured in the Salman Khan-starter "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", amongother Hindi, films and was also one of the contestants of TV reality show 'BiggBoss'.
