Mumbai University's new convocation dress badly trolled on the Internet

It looks like students of Mumbai University will have to bid goodbye to the colonial graduation robe. Mumbai University announced the shivkalin angrakha’ and a red headgear as its official convocation dress code for the faculty. This outfit was worn by Maratha warrior Shivaji Bhonsle. The angrakha will have a Paithani border that represents a commitment, valour and good governance. Mumbai Univesity today released the pictures of the official outfit.

The decision was made by a three-member committee, who also decided that the material of the attire will be poly-cotton to add comfort.
